West Indies champions Barbados Tridents will take on New Zealand side Northern Knights in an inconsequential Group B league match of the Champions League Twenty20.

With Kings XI Punjab and Hobart Hurricanes already booking their semi-final spot from this group, bottom-placed Tridents and fourth-placed Knights have already bowed out of the tournament and the two sides will play for pride at the M Chinnaswamy stadium.

Tridents, who lack big names, come into this game after a loss at the hands of Cape Cobras in their last match, while Knights, in their last game, were outclassed by Punjab, who entered the last-four in their maiden CL T20 appearance.

Commentary (Barbados Tridents 1st Innings)

They made it difficult for themselves in the end but eventually, the Tridents have won. The bowlers set up the win by restricting the Knights to 135. In reply, Munaweera got off to a flier but of nowhere, there was a collapse and it seemed as if the tables were going to change.

18.4 Tim Southee to J Franklin, FOUR! BARBADOS TRIDENTS WIN BY 6 WICKETS! Dew has its say as Southee struggles to grip the ball and releases a full toss and Franklin takes full toll of that gift. Dispatches it over square leg and that is the end of the game. Both the teams were already knocked out so Tridents are the ones feeling proud. Something to cheer about. 138/4
